Day 1 Arrive New Delhi

Welcome to New Delhi, Discover India's vibrant capital where ancient history meets modern life. Discover grand monuments, bustling bazaars, and diverse cultures that reflect the true spirit of India. Upon Arrival meet and greet by a Discover India Tours representative who will transfer you to our hotel.

Day 2 New Delhi

After breakfast, We begin our day with a visit to Gandhi Smriti, the former residence of Mahatma Gandhi and the place where his extraordinary life came to an end on 30 January 1948. Gandhi lived here during the final months of his life, and today the house stands as a national memorial, preserving personal belongings, photographs, and exhibits that reflect his philosophy of peace and simplicity. Walking through the quiet rooms and beautifully maintained gardens offers a deeply moving glimpse into the life of the man revered as the Father of the Nation.
Our next stop is Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, one of Delhi’s most important Sikh places of worship. Known for its serene atmosphere and golden dome, the shrine welcomes visitors of all religions. A highlight of the visit is the Langar, or community kitchen, where thousands of free meals are prepared and served daily by volunteers. This remarkable tradition reflects the Sikh values of equality, service, and compassion, and visitors are welcome to observe or participate respectfully.
After lunch, we explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Humayun’s Tomb, an architectural masterpiece and a significant landmark in Mughal history. Built in the 16th century by the emperor’s widow, the monument is set within elegant gardens and is considered a precursor to the Taj Mahal. The complex houses numerous royal tombs, earning it the reputation as the resting place of the Mughal dynasty.
Following the sightseeing, we return to the hotel for a short rest. In the evening, we head out for a welcome dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 3 Delhi - Old City & Modern Spirituals Landmarks

After breakfast at the hotel, we set out to explore the vibrant heart of 17th-century Old Delhi, once known as Shahjahanabad. Our morning begins with a visit to Jama Masjid, one of India’s largest and most impressive mosques, built in 1656 by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. From its vast courtyard, enjoy sweeping views of the bustling city below.
We then experience Old Delhi the traditional way with a bicycle rickshaw ride through the lively lanes of Chandni Chowk. This historic marketplace is a sensory delight, filled with spice shops, jewelry stores, and centuries-old trading streets. Stepping deeper into the area, we continue on an exclusive heritage walk, guided through hidden alleys and neighborhoods rarely seen by visitors. As you wander through these historic streets, you’ll gain insight into local life, ancient customs, and the layered history that still shapes the city today. Along the way, you’ll pass old temples, mosques, shrines, and beautifully weathered havelis, traditional mansions that have been home to the same families for generations. We also stop at one of Asia’s oldest spice markets, where aromas and colors create an unforgettable atmosphere.
Later in the day, we visit the magnificent Akshardham Temple, a modern architectural marvel inspired by India’s ancient traditions. Set amidst landscaped gardens and serene surroundings, the complex showcases intricate stone carvings, timeless spiritual themes, and India’s cultural heritage. It is a peaceful and visually stunning place to explore, offering a calm contrast to the energy of Old Delhi.

In the evening, we return to the hotel to relax before enjoying dinner.

Day 4 New Delhi to Varanasi

After breakfast, we board a morning flight to Varanasi, one of India’s most sacred and continuously inhabited cities. Also known as Kashi, meaning the City of Light, Varanasi holds profound spiritual significance for Hindus and has been a center of learning, devotion, and pilgrimage for thousands of years.
On arrival, we are met by our representative and transferred to our hotel for check-in and time to settle in.
Varanasi is deeply connected to the sacred River Ganges, which is believed to purify the soul. For Hindus, passing away along its banks is considered especially auspicious, as it is believed to release the soul from the cycle of birth and rebirth and grant spiritual liberation, known as moksha. Along the riverfront are historic cremation ghats, including Manikarnika Ghat, where funeral rites have been performed continuously for centuries, symbolizing the eternal cycle of life and death.
In the early evening, we visit the riverfront to witness the mesmerizing Ganga Aarti ceremony. As priests perform synchronized rituals with lamps, incense, and chants, the river glows with light and devotion, creating a powerful and unforgettable spiritual atmosphere.
After the ceremony, we return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5 Varanasi - Ganges Boat Ride & Sarnath

We begin the day before sunrise with an early morning transfer to the river, where we board a boat for a serene cruise along the River Ganges. As the sun rises over the Ghats, the riverfront slowly comes alive with prayer, ritual bathing, and daily life. From the water, you’ll observe the sacred bathing Ghats as well as the historic cremation grounds, gaining a deeper understanding of the spiritual traditions that have unfolded here for centuries. Watching devotion and everyday life blend together at dawn creates a powerful and unforgettable experience.
After the boat ride, we return to the hotel for breakfast and some time to relax.
Later, we travel to Sarnath, one of Buddhism’s most important pilgrimage sites. It was here that Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon after attaining enlightenment, setting in motion the Wheel of Dharma. Once a great center of learning for many centuries, Sarnath is now home to impressive ruins, ancient stupas, a modern Buddhist temple, and an excellent museum displaying remarkable archaeological finds.
Before returning, enjoy free time to browse for Varanasi’s famous silk products, renowned worldwide for their craftsmanship and rich designs.
In the evening, you may choose to join a distinctive heritage walking experience known as “Death & Rebirth in Banaras”, offering deeper insight into the city’s spiritual philosophy and nighttime atmosphere.

Day 6 Varanasi to Agra | Train Experience

Later in the afternoon, you will be transferred to the railway station to board your day train to Agra, departing at 15:20 and arriving at 22:20. This comfortable rail journey offers a wonderful opportunity to experience India’s landscapes and observe everyday life as the scenery changes along the way.
Upon arrival in Agra, the city of the iconic Taj Mahal, you will be met by our Discover India Tours representative and escorted to your hotel for check-in and an overnight stay.

Day 7 Agra

At dawn, we set out to witness one of the world’s most breathtaking sights as the first light of day illuminates the Taj Mahal. Built between 1631 and 1648 by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in loving memory of his wife, this iconic mausoleum stands as a timeless symbol of devotion and is regarded as a crowning achievement of Islamic architecture in India and a UNESCO World Heritage treasure.
After breakfast, the tour continues to the magnificent Agra Fort, a vast red-sandstone citadel and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Stretching nearly two miles, the fort reveals an impressive collection of royal palaces, grand audience chambers, and elegant mosques that reflect the power and refinement of the Mughal era.
Following lunch, we visit a renowned local marble workshop to gain insight into Agra’s traditional craftsmanship. Here, skilled artisans demonstrate the delicate art of marble inlay, a centuries-old technique that continues to define the city’s architectural legacy.
The evening is at leisure, followed by dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel in Agra.

Day 8 Agra to Ranthambhore

After a relaxed breakfast, depart for Ranthambhore National Park. En route, visit the renowned Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary, also known as Keoladeo Ghana National Park, one of India’s richest bird habitats. The sanctuary is a unique landscape of wetlands, grasslands, and dry deciduous forest, supporting an extraordinary variety of resident and migratory birds.
Enjoy lunch during your stop at Bharatpur. After lunch, we will continue our drive to Ranthambhore, located in the Sawai Madhopur regoin. Upon arrival, you will be met by our representative and escorted to your hotel. Dinner will be served at the hotel.
Ranthambhore National Park is famous for its population of Bengal tigers and its dramatic natural setting around Padam Talab, Raj Bagh Talab, and Milak Talab. In addition to tigers, the park is home to leopards, sloth bears, jackals, crocodiles, deer species such as sambhar and chinkara, wild boar, and a wide range of birdlife. The terrain is characterised by tranquil lakes, rocky plateaus, and gently rolling hills.

Day 9 Ranthambhore Tiger Safari Adventure

Your day starts early with a warm cup of coffee and light snacks before heading out for a thrilling morning safari. From 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM, explore the wilderness on a private jeep accompanied by an experienced naturalist, keeping a keen eye out for the majestic Royal Bengal Tiger and other wildlife. After the drive, return to the hotel to enjoy a relaxed breakfast.



Later in the afternoon, set out once again for the forest between 2:30 PM and 5:30 PM for an evening safari, as the park comes alive in the golden hours before sunset. The day concludes with a peaceful return to the hotel, followed by dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 10 Ranthambhore to Jaipur | Optional Cooking Class

After breakfast, depart for Jaipur, famously known as the Pink City. Jaipur is one of India’s earliest planned cities, set against the pink-hued hills of Rajasthan and distinguished by its rose-coloured architecture. Founded in 1727 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, a great ruler and astronomer, the city was designed according to ancient Indian principles of town planning, with well-organised streets and fortified walls.
Upon arrival in Jaipur, check in to your hotel. The remainder of the afternoon is free for relaxation or independent exploration.
In the evening, you may choose to take part in an optional cooking class hosted by a renowned local Rajput family (additional cost: €60 per person). This immersive experience offers insight into traditional Rajasthani cuisine, with a live cooking demonstration conducted in a private home alongside in-house chefs. Learn authentic techniques and recipes before enjoying the freshly prepared dishes during a warm and memorable dinner in the family’s dining room.

Day 11 Jaipur

After breakfast, we set out toward the hills on the outskirts of Jaipur to explore the impressive Amber Fort. On arrival, you will be escorted uphill by jeep to this majestic fortress, where grand courtyards, ornate halls, and sweeping views bring Rajasthan’s royal past to life.
Later, continue with a guided sightseeing tour of Jaipur. Pause for photographs at the iconic Hawa Mahal, or Palace of Winds, an extraordinary façade designed so the women of the royal household could observe life and processions on the streets below while remaining unseen.
The journey then leads to the City Palace Museum, home to an exceptional collection of royal artifacts, traditional costumes, and historic weaponry belonging to the Mughal and Rajput dynasties. Among the highlights are finely crafted swords and ceremonial arms showcasing remarkable workmanship. Next, visit the Jantar Mantar, an astronomical observatory constructed in the early 18th century by Maharaja Jai Singh II, whose vision and scientific curiosity shaped the city of Jaipur.
The remainder of the afternoon is at leisure-ideal for shopping, exploring local markets, or relaxing at your own pace. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 12 Jaipur to Jodhpur | Blue City Discovery & Clock Tower Walk (Approx. 5 Hours)

After breakfast, depart by road for Jodhpur, enjoying a scenic drive through the heart of rural Rajasthan. Along the way, observe everyday countryside life—camel carts sharing the road with trucks, villages dotted with cattle, and open landscapes that capture the region’s raw charm.
Founded in 1459 AD, Jodhpur is a city steeped in history and is famously known as the Blue City, a reference to the blue-washed houses clustered around the old quarter, especially in the northern area of Brahmpuri. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel and complete the check-in formalities.
Following lunch, take some time to unwind and relax at the hotel. Later in the afternoon, head out for a fun and authentic auto-rickshaw ride, offering a lively introduction to the city. Continue on foot through the bustling lanes surrounding the Clock Tower, Jodhpur’s most vibrant market area, where daily life, colors, and aromas come together in an unforgettable experience.
The day concludes with dinner at a charming heritage-style restaurant, offering a romantic ambiance and stunning views of the city’s landmarks. Overnight stay in Jodhpur.

Day 13 Jodhpur | Mehrangarh Fort& Royal Heritage Tour

After breakfast, set out on a guided sightseeing tour of Jodhpur, beginning with a visit to the imposing Mehrangarh Fort. Rising high above the city on a rugged rocky outcrop, the fort dominates the skyline and blends seamlessly with the surrounding landscape. Among the largest and most impressive forts in Rajasthan, it houses beautifully preserved palaces and a museum showcasing rare artifacts, royal collections, and centuries-old treasures that reflect the grandeur of Rajput court life. For more than five hundred years, Mehrangarh has served as the seat of the Rathore Rajput dynasty.
Continue to the magnificent Umaid Bhawan Palace, commissioned by Maharaja Umaid Singh and constructed between 1929 and 1942. Built using golden chittar sandstone, this architectural masterpiece is also known as Chittar Palace and represents a striking fusion of Indo-colonial design and 1930s Art Deco style.
After lunch, return to the hotel for the remainder of the day at leisure and overnight stay.

Day 14 Jodhpur to Udaipur | Ranakpur Jain Temple (Approx. 6 Hours)

After breakfast, depart from Jodhpur and begin the scenic drive toward Udaipur. En route, stop to explore the remarkable Ranakpur Jain Temples, dating back to the 12th century. Crafted entirely from delicately carved white marble, this architectural masterpiece is renowned for its beautifully detailed columns—each uniquely designed—creating a breathtaking visual harmony. The tranquil surroundings and intricate workmanship make this complex a true highlight of the journey.
After lunch, continue the drive through the rolling landscapes of the Aravalli range toward Udaipur. On arrival, discover a city often described as the most romantic in Rajasthan. Nestled among green hills and set along the shimmering waters of Lake Pichola, Udaipur captivates visitors with its timeless charm and regal elegance. Day 15 Udaipur | Sunset Boat Ride on Lake Pichola

After breakfast, begin a guided sightseeing tour of Udaipur, starting with the magnificent City Palace, an impressive complex developed over generations by different Maharanas. Although built across centuries, the palace reflects a remarkable harmony in its architecture, blending courtyards, balconies, and ornate halls into a unified royal masterpiece.
Continue within the palace complex to visit the Gallery, which displays an exceptional collection of Osler crystalware commissioned from England in 1877 by Maharana Sajjan Singh—an exquisite reminder of the royal lifestyle and international influences of the era.

Day 16 Udaipur to Mumbai

Early in the morning, you will be transferred to Udaipur Airport to board your scheduled flight to Mumbai. Upon arrival, you will be warmly received and begin your introduction to India’s most dynamic metropolis.
Mumbai, originally formed from seven reclaimed islands, has a rich history that stretches back to ancient times and once formed part of Emperor Ashoka’s domain. Today, it stands as one of the world’s most populous and vibrant cities, blending heritage, commerce, and modern life.
Your sightseeing begins with a visit to the fascinating Dhobi Ghat, an extraordinary open-air laundry where traditional washermen carry out age-old methods of cleaning, drying, and pressing clothes in long rows of stone wash pens an iconic and uniquely Mumbai experience.
After the visit, continue to your landmark hotel overlooking the Arabian Sea for check-in and relaxation. In the evening, enjoy dinner at a selected local restaurant before retiring for the night.

Day 17 Mumbai | Life & Industry in Mumbai Dharavi Experience

After breakfast, set out for a guided visit to Dharavi, one of Mumbai’s most densely populated neighborhoods and a powerful example of urban resilience and enterprise. The tour offers insight into both the residential and working areas, where a strong sense of community and everyday life is clearly visible. As you walk through the lanes, gain an understanding of the challenges residents face, balanced by their creativity, cooperation, and spirit.
In the commercial sections, witness a wide range of small-scale industries operating efficiently within compact spaces. These include recycling units, food preparation areas, tailoring workshops, bakeries, soap production, and traditional papad-making each an essential part of the local economy.
