Day 1 New Delhi to Kochi

After breakfast, transfer to the domestic airport to board your flight to Kochi. On arrival, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative and escorted to your hotel.
Often referred to as the “Queen of the Arabian Sea,” Kochi is one of India’s most captivating coastal cities, celebrated for its natural harbour and rich multicultural heritage. The city beautifully preserves its past through well maintained monuments, palaces, and historic institutions that reflect centuries of colonial and local influences.
Later, set out for a guided city tour covering Kochi’s key landmarks, including the Paradesi Synagogue, the historic Dutch Palace, and St. Francis Church, the oldest European church in India, closely associated with Vasco da Gama.
In the evening, enjoy the renowned Greenix Cultural Show, a vibrant presentation of Kerala’s classical dance forms, ritual traditions, and martial arts. The performance features elegant Mohiniyattam, dramatic Kathakali, powerful folk elements such as Theyyam, and rhythmic musical ensembles, offering a captivating insight into Kerala’s artistic heritage.

After the show, return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 2 Kochi

After breakfast, set out for Kumbalangi, a peaceful village on the outskirts of Kochi and recognised as India’s first model fisheries village. On arrival, board a traditional country boat for a gentle ride across the backwaters, offering a close look at everyday village life.
As you move through the waterways, observe local residents going about their daily routine fishermen casting their nets, farmers tending to lush paddy fields, children playing by the water, and small family-run shops serving the community. The experience offers an authentic glimpse into Kerala’s rural rhythm and sustainable way of life.
Later, enjoy a traditional home-style lunch, featuring local flavours and fresh ingredients.
In the afternoon, take a fun tuk-tuk (auto-rickshaw) ride along narrow village lanes, passing coconut groves and waterways, before returning to the parking area.
After the visit, drive back to your hotel. The remainder of the day is free for relaxation or independent shopping.

Day 3 Kochi to Munnar

After breakfast, depart by road for Munnar, a scenic hill station known for its rolling tea gardens and cool mountain air. The drive itself is a highlight, winding through lush landscapes and mist covered hills as you ascend into the Western Ghats.
En route, pause to admire the beautiful Cheeyappara Waterfalls, cascading through dense greenery an ideal spot for photographs and a short break.
Once in Munnar, check in to your hotel or resort and take time to relax after the journey. Formerly a summer retreat of the British during the colonial era, Munnar today offers a serene escape surrounded by tea plantations, forests, and peaceful valleys.
The remainder of the day is free to enjoy the natural surroundings at your own pace.

Day 4 Munnar

After breakfast, set out for a morning sightseeing tour of Munnar, exploring the region's most scenic and natural attractions.
Begin with a visit to Eravikulam National Park, home to rolling grasslands and dramatic views of the Western Ghats. The park is also known for the rare Nilgiri Tahr, an endangered mountain native to this region. From here, enjoy panoramic vistas of misty valleys and tea covered slopes.
Continue to the Tata Tea Museum, where you will gain insight in to Munnar's tea growing heritage and the history behind one of India's most famous tea regions.
Later, Visit the tranquil Mattupetty Dam and the scenic surroundings of Kundala, an area set amid gentle hills and mountain streams, offering peaceful landscapes and excellent photo opportunities .
On the return Journey, stop at the Blossom Garden, known for its colourful flower beds and well maintained grounds an ideal place for a relaxed stroll.
Return to your hotel or resort in the afternoon. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 5 Munnar to Thekkady | Periyar

After breakfast, depart for Thekkady, a scenic region known for its rich wildlife, spice plantations, and cool hill-country landscapes. Nestled in the Western Ghats, Thekkady offers a peaceful retreat surrounded by forests and rolling hills.
In the afternoon, visit the renowned Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, one of South India’s most celebrated nature reserves. Enjoy a boat cruise on Periyar Lake, providing an excellent opportunity to observe wildlife along the forested shores. With some luck, you may spot wild elephants, sambar deer, gaur (Indian bison), Nilgiri langurs, wild boar, and a variety of birdlife in their natural habitat.
Later in the day, explore a local spice plantation, where you’ll learn about Kerala’s aromatic spices such as cardamom, pepper, cinnamon, and cloves, grown naturally in this fertile region.
After the visit, return to your hotel for relaxation.

Day 6 Thekkady to Alleppey | Backwater Houseboat

After breakfast, travel to Alleppey and proceed to the boat jetty to board your traditionally crafted houseboat. Once on board, begin a relaxed cruise through Kerala’s serene backwaters.As the houseboat glides gently along palm-lined canals and open lagoons, experience a landscape found nowhere else in the world. Life unfolds quietly along the water villages, paddy fields, fishermen at work, and children playing along the banks offering a rare glimpse into Kerala’s slow and graceful rhythm of life.
Surrounded by lush greenery and tranquil waterways, the journey creates a deeply soothing atmosphere, perfect for relaxation and reflection. All meals are served on board as you continue cruising through this peaceful setting.
In the evening, anchor in a quiet stretch of the backwaters and enjoy the calm of the surroundings.

Day 7 Alleppey to Kochi to Delhi

After disembarking from the houseboat, travel by road to Kochi Airport (approximately 2 hours) to board your flight to Delhi. Upon arrival in Delhi, you will be greeted by Discover India representative and transferred comfortably to your hotel.

Day 8 Delhi

Your tour comes to a close today. At the scheduled time, a Discover India representative will arrange your transfer to the International airport for your onward journey home.
